Topic: Breastless: from diagnosis to mastectomy – breast cancer’s impact on my life, sense of self, and relationships
Emma will lead you through her story, reading excerpts from the 95min show, as examples of where she feels an Oncology Social Worker could have helped her to navigate the dynamics, and even smoothed the path.
Presenter:
Emma Jarrett, writer and speaker, was diagnosed with Advanced Breast Cancer in 2016. What she experienced and learned led her to writing a solo show, Breastless, to foster understanding, to promote discussion between healthcare providers, and to demonstrate the impact on mind, body and spirit – that breast cancer is not just a physical diagnosis.
Born in England, Emma has lived in western Canada for over 20 years.
Webinar start times across Australia and New Zealand for Thursday April 23rd:
This seminar is FREE for CURRENT OSWANZ members. As a member you will have access to the powerpoint presentation and recording of the session within the Members Only section of the website. Members must log into the website first to access the free registration.
