Kate graduated from the University of New South Wales in the year 2000 with a Bacehlor of Social Work. Kate also holds a Masters in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of New South Wales. Kate has spent her career working primarily in Palliative Care and with people who have cancer.

Kate is currently the Social Work Team Leader of the Cancer Services Team at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney.
