Nick’s current professional role is as a Senior Social Worker with the Grief and Loss Counselling Service at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Prior to this Nick has held roles as a Senior Social Worker within Renal Services, Oncology Services, and the Palliative Care Unit at the Royal Hobart Hospital. From 2018-2021 Nick was President of Oncology Social Work Australia New Zealand. Nick has an interest in improving grief literacy amongst health care professionals and developing supportive clinical interventions for individuals and families associated with life-threatening and traumatic events.  Nick graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2013 with a Master of Social Work. Nick has been awarded grants from the Ricky Ponting Foundation, David Collins Leukaemia Foundation and Cancer Council Tasmania to undertake professional development locally, nationally, and internationally.
