Allison completed her social work training overseas, earning a Bachelor of Social Work from Florida State University (USA), and Master of Social Work from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA). After working as a social worker in an outpatient radiation oncology facility, Allison found her way into paediatric oncology social work in 2015. Allison has worked at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead – both sites within the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network.

Allison is currently specialised in blood transplant and cellular therapies within the Children’s Centre for Cancer, with previous experience in paediatric neuro-oncology. Allison manages the oncology social work service at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead. In addition to OSWANZ, Allison is also an active member of Association of Pediatric Oncology Social Workers (APOSW) and AASW.
Allison is a passionate oncology social worker and feels privileged to be able to support patients and their families during their experience with cancer. Allison is currently serving as the NSW Regional Co-Representative and the OSWANZ Treasurer.
