Fiona graduated from the University of Hull, UK in 1999 with a Masters in Social Work.

Fiona has dedicated the majority of her career to working in oncology and palliative care.   She has worked in a diversity of settings inclusive of hospitals, community and in-patient palliative care services in both Australian and England. Prior to immigrating to Australia Fiona set up a specialist oncology service which was one of the first Social Work services to be adopted by Macmillan (UK’s leading cancer charity).

Fiona joined the team at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in 2010.   Her current role involves clinical care of patients and their families/carers from diagnosis onwards as well as team roles inclusive of Student Unit Coordinator, Education Lead and team leadership tasks.
